1. Introduction

A figure has symmetry if it can be folded into two identical halves that match exactly. The fold line is called the line of symmetry (or axis of symmetry).

2. Line of Symmetry

Equilateral Triangle (3 lines of symmetry): Each line goes from a vertex to the middle of the opposite side.

Reflection is like looking in a mirror. The mirror creates a mirror image.

Properties of Reflection

  4. Left and right are SWAPPED in the mirror image
