How toppers play this section
Commerce Paper 2 is dominated by three numerical units — Accounting and Auditing, Business Finance, and Business Statistics and Research Methods — which together approach a third of the paper and demand calculation fluency, not just definitions. Accounting and Auditing alone is the heaviest single topic (up to 16 of 100 questions), so accounting standards, company accounts and auditing procedure deserve first claim on your study hours. Business Economics and Income Tax and Corporate Tax Planning are close behind and reward current slab/rate awareness layered on top of theory. The remaining units — Business Environment, Management & HRM, Banking, Marketing and Legal Aspects — are more conceptual and recall-heavy, and repay a structured-notes approach over rote memorisation.
