Part 1 — Halves and Quarters (Fractions)

What Are Fractions?

A FRACTION is a PART of a WHOLE.

  • Half (½) : 1 part out of 2 equal parts
  • Quarter (¼) : 1 part out of 4 equal parts
  • Three-Quarters (¾) : 3 parts out of 4 equal parts

Pizza Fractions

  • A pizza cut into 2 EQUAL pieces → each piece = HALF (½)
  • A pizza cut into 4 EQUAL pieces → each piece = QUARTER (¼)
  • If you eat 3 out of 4 pieces → you ate THREE-QUARTERS (¾)

Practice

  1. Colour HALF of a rectangle.
  2. If a chocolate bar has 12 pieces, how many is HALF? (Answer: 6)
  3. If you share a cake equally among 4 friends, what FRACTION does each get? (Answer: ¼)

Number Patterns

Shape Patterns

Patterns can be CODES! A=1, B=2, C=3...

  • 3-1-20 → CAT
  • 4-15-7 → DOG

Part 3 — Tables and Shares (Multiplication & Division)

Multiplication Tables

Learn tables up to 10 × 10. The more you practice, the FASTER you become!

Division as Sharing

  • If 20 sweets are shared equally among 4 children: 20 ÷ 4 = 5 sweets each
  • If 36 books are packed in boxes of 6: 36 ÷ 6 = 6 boxes

Multiplication and Division Are OPPOSITE

  • 6 × 4 = 24 → 24 ÷ 4 = 6 → 24 ÷ 6 = 4
