The Magic Garden

About the Story

What it is about: A MAGIC GARDEN where FLOWERS TALK and FAIRIES PLAY. The children take care of the garden, and the garden LOVES the children back.

The Story

In a SCHOOL, there was a MAGIC GARDEN. It was called the MAGIC GARDEN because the FLOWERS could TALK, and the FAIRIES came to PLAY every night.

The garden was FULL of beautiful flowers:

  • ROSES — red, pink, and yellow
  • SUNFLOWERS — tall and bright
  • MARIGOLDS — orange and yellow
  • LOTUS — white and pink
  • LILIES — white and fragrant

The flowers LOVED the SUN. They would say, 'Dear Sun, thank you for your WARMTH!'

The flowers LOVED the RAIN. They would say, 'Dear Rain, thank you for your WATER!'

And the flowers LOVED the CHILDREN. They would say, 'Dear children, thank you for taking CARE of us!'

Every day, the children would:

  • WATER the plants
  • REMOVE weeds
  • TALK to the flowers
  • SIT in the garden and READ

The garden had a LITTLE GATE and a SCARECROW that scared away the birds. There were GREY STONES, and SUNBEAMS danced on the flowers.

At NIGHT, the FAIRIES came. They DANCED among the flowers and SANG gentle songs. The garden was truly MAGICAL!

  3. 'The sun and rain do not like the garden.' — In the story, the flowers THANK the sun and rain. Nature LOVES the garden.

  4. 'Magic gardens only exist in stories.' — Every garden is MAGICAL in its own way — it has colours, life, and beauty!
